Social with Substance

These Terms are the simple service agreement between The Hive Media & Marketing LLC (“The Hive”) and the person or business purchasing a Social with Substance plan for business use (“Client”). The completed Squarespace order and these Terms form the Agreement when Client checks the required checkout box and completes the purchase. The completed electronic signature provides an additional record of both parties’ acceptance.

The short version: Your plan and payments begin when you enroll. Onboarding and preparation happen during that plan term. Publishing is expected to begin approximately 8-10 weeks after enrollment and ends when the plan ends. You will also sign an electronic copy of these Terms before services can proceed.

1. Checkout Acceptance and Electronic Signature

Before purchasing, Client will be given access to these Terms. By checking the required Squarespace checkout box and completing the purchase, Client confirms that the Terms were reviewed and accepted.

The Hive will send an electronic copy of the same Terms for signature within three business days after purchase. The agreement must be signed by both parties before the Signature Social Session, strategy, or content work can proceed.

The plan term and payment schedule still begin on the purchase date. A delay in signing does not pause payments or extend the plan. The checkout acknowledgment remains part of the purchase record, and the signed electronic agreement provides the additional signature record for both parties. Client will receive a completed electronic copy for its records.

2. Plan, Payment, and Term

Client is purchasing the complete fixed-price Social with Substance plan identified in the completed Squarespace order. Monthly charges are installments toward that total plan price—not payments for a month-to-month service that can be canceled at any time. The first payment is charged at enrollment and counts as payment one. The remaining automatic monthly installments will be charged according to the payment schedule shown in the completed order.

The plan begins on the enrollment date, ends after the selected six- or twelve-month term, and does not automatically renew. Payments already charged are nonrefundable except for any refund expressly provided in Section 8. The Creative Fit Promise may waive future unpaid installments but does not provide refunds for payments already made. Except where required by law or agreed to by The Hive in writing, Client remains responsible for the complete price of the selected plan.

Canceling automatic payments through Squarespace does not end this fixed-term Agreement. If a scheduled payment is canceled, declined, or otherwise not received, The Hive may pause services until payment is restored or another arrangement is agreed to in writing.

3. Invitation-Only Launch Offer Details

If the Client’s completed order identifies the Invitation-Only Launch offer, the following pricing, savings and bonuses apply to that purchase.

For this Invitation-Only Launch offer, the regular $1,497 fee for the required Signature Social Session described in Section 4 is waived.

Standard plan price when public enrollment opens: $5,850. The $250 onboarding fee and the $1,497 Hive Signature Social Session fee are waived, resulting in total savings of $2,917.

Also included: if The Hive launches the planned Mastermind Collective, Client may choose to receive six complimentary months—an anticipated $444 value based on planned pricing.

12 Months

$680 at enrollment and monthly for twelve total payments ($8,160 total)

Standard plan price when public enrollment opens: $10,200. The $250 onboarding fee and the $1,497 Hive Signature Social Session fee are waived, resulting in total savings of $3,787.

Also included: if The Hive launches the planned Mastermind Collective, Client may choose to receive six complimentary months—an anticipated $444 value based on planned pricing.

Mastermind Collective participation is optional. This bonus is nontransferable, has no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for a payment, refund, credit, or another service. If and when the Collective becomes available, Client may choose to participate and the complimentary six-month period will begin at that time.

All Invitation-Only savings, waived fees, and bonuses are promotional benefits only. They are nonrefundable, have no cash value, and will not be issued as credits if the Agreement ends early.

4. What The Hive Provides

The Client’s initial enrollment in Social with Substance requires completion of The Hive Signature Social Session, using The Hive’s PLAY Framework, before ongoing services begin. The Signature Social Session is purchased separately from the selected plan, except for the fee waiver expressly stated in Section 3 for this Invitation-Only Launch offer.

The selected plan includes:

• A custom Content Authority Plan, generally delivered within 10 business days after enrollment, provided Client promptly completes the Signature Social Session and supplies the information, access, and decisions needed to complete it.

• Content planning, writing, graphic design, light video editing, scheduling, publishing, light public engagement, quarterly reporting, and basic ongoing refinements to maintain consistency with Client’s established brand voice and positioning.

• An initial profile and bio review with reasonable updates if needed, plus strategic pinned-post rotation.

• Once publishing begins, up to ten original content pieces per publishing month, adapted across Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube as appropriate, for up to thirty total platform posts per publishing month.

Social with Substance prioritizes polished, strategic, brand-aligned content rather than trend-driven or reactive content production. Light video editing does not include complex cuts, effects, animations, stickers, or other advanced editing unless agreed to separately.

Light engagement does not include private-message management, lead follow-up, customer service, crisis management, or comprehensive moderation. New account creation, major profile setup, paid advertising, ad spend, original photo or video shoots, and services not listed above require a separate agreement.

Onboarding begins upon completion of purchase and is part of the selected six- or twelve-month term. Publishing is expected to begin approximately 8–10 weeks after enrollment, once the Signature Social Session, strategy, account access, materials, first content batch and any requested initial review are complete. Publishing and ongoing services continue through the selected plan’s end date. As that date approaches, The Hive will share available renewal options so Client can choose to continue services if desired without interruption. 

5. What Client Provides

Client will provide the business-specific information and raw materials needed to create the content, including current offers, important dates, business updates, customer questions, and usable original photos or videos.

Client will also:

• Provide appropriate account login details while keeping ownership and administrative control of the accounts.

• Provide accurate business information and promptly identify factual, legal, regulatory, privacy, or safety concerns.

• Before content creation begins, identify any industry-specific terminology, required disclaimers, prohibited wording, or established language and brand preferences The Hive should follow.

• Confirm that Client owns or has all necessary rights and permissions to use—and authorize The Hive to use—the photos, videos, testimonials, music, logos, and other materials it supplies.

• Provide specific, consolidated feedback within five business days when a review is requested.

Before publishing begins, if desired, the parties will review the first content batch together to establish the content pillars, voice, visual direction, and general editing style. After that direction is established, The Hive may create and publish content without requiring approval of every individual post or content piece. Client may continue to provide timely updates and reasonable feedback throughout the plan. Because content is prepared in advance, preferences or requirements not provided before content is created will guide future content and do not require The Hive to revise or recreate content already created, scheduled, or published. If an important factual error is identified, The Hive will make reasonable efforts to correct it.

Missing access, materials, decisions, or feedback may affect the publishing schedule or the amount of work that can reasonably be completed within the selected term. Client-caused delays do not pause payments or change the plan’s end date.

6. Creative Fit Promise and Early Release

The Creative Fit Promise is available to new clients during the first ninety days after enrollment. During that time, The Hive will listen, adjust, and refine the creative direction based on Client’s timely and specific feedback. There is no fixed revision count during this initial creative process while requests remain within the selected scope and both parties are communicating constructively.

If, after two to three rounds of specific feedback and corresponding revisions, Client still does not feel that the creative direction reflects the business, Client may request an early release under the Creative Fit Promise by explaining the remaining concerns to The Hive in writing.

If the creative fit still cannot be resolved, the plan will end at the conclusion of the current paid month. Payments already charged are nonrefundable, but future scheduled installments will be waived. The waived onboarding and Signature Social Session fees will not be charged back solely because Client uses the Creative Fit Promise.

The Creative Fit Promise applies only to creative fit and direction. It does not apply to delayed Client materials, requests outside the selected scope, changes in Client’s budget or business circumstances, platform changes outside of The Hive’s control, or dissatisfaction with marketing results. The plan otherwise remains in effect through its selected end date unless The Hive agrees in writing to another arrangement.

7. Content, Accounts, and Results

Client keeps ownership of the materials it supplies and gives The Hive permission to edit and publish them for the services. After all amounts due are paid, The Hive assigns to Client all rights The Hive owns in the final custom captions, graphics, and edited content created specifically for Client. Licensed fonts, music, stock assets, platform elements, and other third-party materials remain subject to their existing licenses. The Hive keeps ownership of its PLAY Framework, session materials, strategies, templates, processes, prompts, working files, and other reusable business materials.

Client is responsible for the accuracy and legality of its business claims and for industry-specific requirements. If a third party makes a claim because materials, factual information, or required wording supplied by Client were inaccurate, unlawful, or used without permission, Client is responsible for the reasonable costs and losses caused by that claim, except to the extent The Hive created or increased the problem through its own error or unauthorized change.

Each party will use the other party’s nonpublic business information only as needed for this work and will take reasonable steps to protect it. The Hive may use qualified contractors and reputable technology providers involved in delivering the services and remains responsible for the services performed on its behalf.

The Hive uses methods developed, tested, and refined through more than a decade of marketing work. These methods are designed to build a consistent, recognizable, and sustainable social presence and will be thoughtfully adapted to Client’s business.

Results can also be influenced by audience response, market conditions, Client participation, and platform changes outside The Hive’s control. For that reason, The Hive cannot promise a specific level of reach, engagement, followers, leads, sales, search ranking, AI visibility, or other business result.

Because published content is public, The Hive may display public-facing final work and nonconfidential results in its portfolio or marketing. Client may ask in writing to exclude its name or nonpublic results from future portfolio use.

8. Final Terms

The Hive is an independent contractor. This Agreement is governed by Ohio law. Any court proceeding will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Portage County, Ohio. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve concerns directly.

Either party may end the Agreement if the other seriously fails to meet its obligations and does not correct the problem after written notice and a reasonable opportunity to do so. If the Agreement ends because of The Hive’s uncorrected serious failure, or if The Hive ends it without Client breach, future payments will be canceled and prepaid fees for services not provided will be refunded.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is responsible for indirect or consequential losses. The Hive’s total responsibility for a claim will not exceed the amount Client paid under the selected plan unless the law requires otherwise.

The completed Squarespace order and these Terms form the complete Agreement for Social with Substance. Plan-specific details in the completed order control if they conflict with the general wording in these Terms. Any change must be agreed to in writing or electronically by both parties. A later version of these Terms does not change the version Client already accepted.

If any part of this Agreement cannot be enforced, the remaining terms will stay in effect.
